The Sak is an established handbag company that has recently made the shift to being an e-commerce brand after nearly 20 years of brick-and-mortar. The company's goal is sustainability, and as a result of COVID, they decided to make the switch to digital.
My time at The Sak has been fantastic. Designing entirely remotely has afforded the company to explore avenues otherwise put secondary, and I played a key role in helping the company transition from Macy's to Shopify. Working at an established company and pushing them forward has allowed me to see how important an e-commerce presence is, and adapt tried and true designs for the modern day.
My day-to-day included designing e-blasts, video editing, creating paid advertising, managing and curating social feeds, and creating imagery for Shopify. I made sure imagery and designs were focused and cohesive cross-platform, and feel that the ability to explore new horizons with The Sak has both broadened my creative perspective and allowed me to see the devil in the details.
